Abstract

In the paper we made an effort to elicit pedagogical potential of project technology in the students' training for voluntary eco-educating activities. We posed the problem of enlisting the young generation as volunteers. Using the example of the student voluntary ecological organization ("EcoDOS") in Elabuga institute of Kazan (Volga region) Federal university we made a qualitative evaluation of the young generation taking part in social voluntary activities. The contributors draw attention to a positive influence of voluntary activities on the formation of future educationalists' personal and professional qualities. In the paper there are the results of questioning students in order to elicit the factors which determine young people to choose volunteering. SWOT analysis was applied to define the pedagogical potential of project technology. In the result the following was defined: strengths and weaknesses, possibilities and risks of the taken tech-nology for activating student's moral qualities. The experiment for inclusion voluntary students into project activities was organized.
