The concept of phantom users for the research of heterogeneous networks

Abstract

The new concept of phantom users for a research of heterogeneous communication networks is proposed. We show that a phantom user has zero effective through-put and its data rate corresponds to the distance to the serving base station. Based on the suggested concept of phantom users we deliver stationary distributions and transition intensities for LTE and integrated LTE/Wi-Fi systems.
