Import substitution as a method of stabilizing the economy

Abstract

The article discusses the issues of import substitution in Russia in connection with the introduction of sanctions and the support of the government in implementing the policy of import substitution. Currently, a number of industries have been identified in which import substitution is envisaged. At the same time, import substitution programs cannot be implemented if the country's leadership does not create favorable conditions for investors, including loans, tax breaks, subsidies, grants, benefits and priorities for public procurement.
