Kondycja finansowa przewoźników drogowych w Polsce

Abstract

The article presents financial standing of Polish road transport companies, in whichthere are more than 49 employees. The research results show that currently road carriersin Poland reach only an acceptable level of profitability. However, it is possible that thelevel of profitability may even deteriorate in time. Low financial efficiency of the companiesin road transport industry may become a serious problem in the proces of implementingenvironment-friendly solutions and eventually may become a barier to sustainabletransport development and to national economy as a whole.
