Wczesne fazy rozwoju kultury pucharów lejkowatych w dorzeczu Morawy. Uwagi na marginesie najnowszej syntezy

Abstract

The article is a contribution to the discussion on the origins of the Funnel Beaker culture resulting from a critical reading of the latest work by Miroslav Šmíd titled Nálevkovité poháry na Moravě. The author of the polemic first responds to M. Šmíd’s proposal for a new periodisation of the early phases of the Moravian group of the Funnel Beaker culture and suggests corrections to their absolute chronology. Then, he addresses the issue of the synchronisation of this formation with Eneolithic cultural units located in two key neighbouring regions – Lower Austria and Upper Silesia. He also discusses the problem of the origins of the Moravian group of the Funnel Beaker culture in the context of possible influences from the north (the Funnel Beaker culture) and west (the Michelsberg culture).
