Abstract

Autor je opisao razvoj rimske vojske od početka Republike do kraja 2. stoljeća prije Krista i njezine profesionalizacije. Objasnio je njezinu ulogu u građanskim ratovima i Cezarovim osvajanjima Galije u 1. stoljeću prije Krista, te čuvanju granica Carstva i gušenju pobuna.
