Abstract

Suvremeni eksperimenti iz fizike elementarnih čestica koriste se kružnim akceleratorima kojima ubrzavaju snopove čestica u suprotnim smjerovima te ih potom sudaraju na mjestima gdje su postavljeni detektori. Sudari čestica rezultiraju velikom količinom podataka iz koje se, uz pomoć sustava s grozdom računala i prikladnom programskom podrškom, izabiru najvažniji podaci za pohranu u svrhu provođenja offline analize. Upravljanje radom ovakvih sustava mora osigurati nepostojanje mrtvog vremena u obradi podataka. To je složeni proces koji uključuje 24-satno nadgledanje svakog pojedinog čvora grozda s ciljem uočavanja abnormalnosti njegovog rada, te brzo i pouzdano poduzimanje akcija za njegov oporavak. Idealno bi bilo kada bi se problemi mogli predvidjeti prije narušavanja izvođenja cijelog sustava ili njegovog zastoja u radu. Trenutno se za potrebe upravljanja radom navedenih sustava ne koriste gotovo nikakve metode automatizacije u rješavanju nastalih problema. Sigurnost i pouzdanost rada upravljanog sustava ovise isključivo o ljudskom operateru koji teško ispunjava prethodno navedene zahtjeve. U ovom doktorskom radu predložen je inteligentni programski sustav kojim se automatiziraju kritične radnje upravljanja računalnim grozdom namijenjenog filtriranju podataka u eksperimentima fizike elementarnih čestica, te time pomaže ljudskom operateru u rješavanju problema. U radu je opisana arhitektura modela inteligentnog upravljanja koja je ostvarena primjenom tehnologije ekspertnih sustava te metoda statistike i statističkog upravljanja procesom. Model inteligentnog upravljanja razvijen je i ispitan u stvarnom okruženju CMS eksperimenta. U radu su prikazani i analizirani rezultati dobiveni nizom ispitivanja predloženog modela upravljanja s ciljem utvrđivanja zadovoljavanja uvjeta koji su postavljeni na rad upravljačkog sustava. Rad je zaključen smjernicama za moguća buduća istraživanja u navedenoj problemskoj domeni.
