Suportivna ( podupirajuća ) psihoterapija

Abstract

Suportivna (podupiruća) psihoterapija specifičan je oblik psihoterapije pri kojoj je glavna komponenta liječenja terapeutovo pružanje potpore pacijentu/klijentu. Ona integrira i psihodinamske, kognitivno- bihevioralne i interpersonalne konceptualne modele i tehnike. Ubraja se u površne psihoterapijske metode kojima je cilj da terapeut pobudi pacijentove zdrave i adaptivne oblike ponašanja u svrhu reduciranja intrapsihičkih konflikata koji proizvode simptome mentalnih poremećaja. Može se primjenivati sama ili s ostalim psihoterapijskim prisuptima. Primjenjuje se kod privremeno ili trajno životno nesposobnih pacijenata. Ako je riječ o kronično nesposobnim osobama s duševnim poremećajima, težim neurozama ili poremećajima ličnosti, često je potrebna dugotrajna suportivna psihoterapija.
