Postmoderna i identitet

Authors: Matulić, Tonči;

Postmoderna i identitet

Abstract

In the contribution, the author examines the causes and consequences of the contemporary identity crisis, with a special emphasis on the identity crisis of "being human" and the challenges of the Christian identity crisis. The content of the contribution is divided into five consecutive parts or paragraphs. The first part presents the problem of the contemporary identity crisis in principle. The second part briefly presents some philosophical responses to this crisis. The third part provides a brief introduction to the theological understanding of the identity crisis, which is followed by the fourth part, in which the author briefly presents, following the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, the value substance of Christian identity, which essentially marks a guideline for the pastoral search for ways out of the contemporary identity crisis, namely the identity of "being Christian", with which, instead of a conclusion, the author rounds off his reflections on identity in a postmodern context.
