Biološko suzbijanje štetnih kukaca

Abstract

Pod biološkim suzbijanjem kukaca smatramo upotrebu prirodnih neprijatelja u suzbijanju štetnih organizama. Među organizmima postoji prirodna ravnoteža, ali je najčešće nedovoljna za zadovoljavajuće rezultate pri uzgoju kulturnoga bilja, stoga se pod biološkom zaštitom smatra manipulacija prirodnih neprijatelja od strane čovjeka. Biološka zaštita može se primijeniti na sve štetne organizme. Veliku primjenu u poljoprivredi zauzimaju korisni kukci kao regulatori prirodne ravnoteže (trčci, zlatooke, parazitske osice, osolike muhe, božje ovčice, grabežljive stjenice i dr.) i zbog toga je važno njihovo očuvanje i zaštita u prirodi. Za biološku zaštitu najčešće se koriste kukci i slični predatori koji se hrane na manjem broju vrsta kako bi se dobila što bolja specifikacija u borbi protiv štetnika. U praksi se korisni kukci primjenjuju uglavnom u zaštićenim prostorima (povrćarstvo, cvjećarstvo) zbog lakšega kontroliranja uvjeta. Biološke mjere suzbijanja potrebno je primjenjivati radi smanjenja uporabe pesticida i očuvanja okoliša. Preporučuje se uzgoj različitih poljoprivrednih kultura (izbjegavati monokulturu) te praćenje i kontrola korisne faune. Postoji još velik broj korisnih organizama koji se danas koriste za suzbijanje štetnih kukaca, kao što su nematode, predatorske grinje, virusi, bakterije, gljivice i dr. Primjenom ovih organizama postiže se visoka razina zaštite poljoprivrednih kultura te samim time i kvaliteta njihovih proizvoda. Sigurno je da biološka mjera suzbijanja štetnih kukaca ima u budućnosti značajnu ulogu jer se sve više kemijskih sredstava povlači s tržišta zbog štetnoga djelovanja na čovjeka, druge korisne organizme i okoliš.
