Dijetoterapija upalnih bolesti crijeva ; Crohnova bolest i ulcerozni kolitis

Abstract

Nutritivna terapija u bolesnika s upalnim bolestima crijeva nije se dokazala kao osnovna terapija bolesti, ali ima važnu ulogu u nadoknadi povećane energijske potrošnje, sprječavanju prekomjerne razgradnje tkiva i sprječavanju i nadoknadi gubitka bjelančevina uslijed narušene cjelovitosti crijeva i gubitka crijevnih funkcija. Nutritivna je terapija osobito važna u bolesnika s teškim oblikom bolesti u kojih se zbog predstoječeg operacijskog liječenja očekuje više od sedam dana gladovanja te u djece kako bi se unatoč bolesti održao neometan rast i razvoj. Enteralna prehrana oznaËava prirodan način prehrane uzimanjem hrane na usta i uz dodatak probiotika, prebiotika, vitamina i minerala te lako probavljivih bjelančevina i masti predstavlja najjednostavniji način prehrane s visokom učinkovitošću i s najmanje komplikacija
