Opinion proposing harmonised classification and labelling at EU level of Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium extract from open and mature flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium

Abstract

Following Article 37 (4) of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation, the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) has adopted an opinion on the proposal for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium extract from open and mature flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium (EC Number: 289-699-3, CAS Number: 89997-63-7). The proposal was submitted by the Spanish competent authority. It was proposed by RAC to classify the substance as Acute Tox. 4, H332; Acute Tox. 4, H302; STOT SE 1 (nervous system), H370; STOT RE 2 (respiratory system, inhalation route), H373; Skin Sens. 1, H317; Aquatic Acute 1, H400; and Aquatic Chronic 1, H410.

Keywords

skin sensitisation, Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium extract, aquatic acute toxicity, nervous system, aquatic chronic toxicity, STOT RE, acute toxicity, Harmonised classification and labelling, STOT SE, respiratory system
