Abstract

In order to improve the quality of separation of seed part from the stems and to reduce the amount of leaves and outer casing in the flax heap during combine harvesting, a rotary beater-combing device has been developed at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. To determine the design parameters of the device a theoretical analysis of the relationship between the radius of the rotor and the radius of the protective ring was carried out, taking into account the gap between the rotor and the front plane of the clamping conveyor, as well as the limiting bending angle of the flax stalks.
