Clinical efficiency of application of blastomunyl in complex treatment of abdominal sepsis

Abstract

The paper gives clinical evaluation of the efficacy of new generation immunomodulator blastomunyl in treatment of 16 patients with abdominal sepsis (AS). It was established that the use of blastomunyl in AS patients leads to normalization of leukogram and phagocytosis indices, increase the absolute number of T and B lymphocytes by the 7-8 th day after surgery, and activate the synthesis of immunoglobulin A, M, and, to a lesser extent, G from the 3-4 th day of the postoperative period, reducing the frequency of postoperative complications by 31,25 % compared to 12,5 % in the main group (p<0,05) and reduction of terms of stay of patients in hospital from 16,3±2,29 till 12,3±2,27 bed-days (p<0,05).
