Conducta antinormativa en adolescentes: Prevalencias y diferencias por sexo

Abstract

La elevada participación de la población joven en actividades delictivas es un hecho extensamente documentado en la literatura criminológica. Este trabajo estimó, mediante la utilización de instrumentos de autoinforme, las tasas de diferentes tipos de conductas antinormativas en 480 adolescentes de ambos sexos con y sin antecedentes delictivos oficiales de Córdoba, Argentina. Casi la totalidad de los adolescentes reportó haber cometido al menos una conducta antinormativa a lo largo de su vida. El vandalismo y el consumo de alcohol fueron las conductas con las tasas más altas, mientras que los hurtos y agresiones físicas fueron las menos prevalentes. Ser hombre y tener antecedentes delictivos oficiales incrementaron el riesgo de cometer diferentes tipos de conductas delictivas. Se discuten las implicancias del uso de autoinformes y de registros oficiales en el estudio del comportamiento criminal y la necesidad de diseñar estrategias de prevención e intervención basadas en la evidencia.
