Megtorpant reformkísérlet a határőrségnél (1960–1963)

Abstract

Cél: A publikáció célja bemutatni az olvasónak egy, a határőrségnél lezajlott reformkísérletet, annak célját, módszerét, eredményét. Módszertan: A kidolgozás alapvetően a Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár Országos Levéltára dokumentumai alapján történt, felhasználva más kapcsolódó irodalmakat. Egyben bemutatásra kerül az országos politikai vezetés határőrséget befolyásoló tevékenysége. Megállapítások: 1957 és 1960 között a határőrség nem tudta teljesíteni a felsőbb szintű elvárásokat. Ennek következtében szakmai területen jelentős feszültségek alakultak ki. Ezek megoldására merült fel egy modernizálási reformkísérlet gondolata, amely végül nem vezetett eredményre. Érték: Az olvasó megismerheti a határőrség 1960. évi jelentős problémáit, helyzetét. Betekinthet a politikai vezetés és a szakmai irányítás ellentmondásaiba, valamint egy reformkísérlet menetébe.
