
This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on improving students' learning outcomes in analyzing argumentative texts. The research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 11th-grade students at SMKN 6 Surabaya. The results showed that the TPS model improved student participation and academic achievement. In the first cycle, the average score was 71.2, with a mastery level of 65.6%. After improvements in the second cycle, the average score increased to 81.6, with 87.5% mastery. The TPS model successfully fostered collaborative, interactive, and student-centered learning. Through the stages of individual thinking (think), paired discussion (pair), and class sharing (share), students became more actively engaged, trained in critical thinking, and confident in expressing ideas. This research recommends TPS as an effective alternative for enhancing learning outcomes and student engagement in the classroom. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam menganalisis teks argumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMKN 6 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model TPS dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I, rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 71,2 dengan tingkat ketuntasan 65,6%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan strategi pembelajaran pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 81,6 dengan tingkat ketuntasan 87,5%. Model TPS terbukti mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang kolaboratif, interaktif, dan berpusat pada siswa. Melalui tahapan berpikir individu (think), berdiskusi berpasangan (pair), dan berbagi di kelas (share), siswa lebih terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran dan terlatih dalam berpikir kritis serta mengungkapkan pendapat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru menerapkan model TPS sebagai alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan partisipasi siswa secara menyeluruh.
