DEVELOPING A COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEM FOR TESTING AND ASSESSING LEARNERS‘ ABILITY: A CASE STUDY IN GENERAL EDUCATION

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to propose a computer-based system of testing and assessing learners’ ability for high school students according to the structure of the high school graduation exam format from 2025 of the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training. A system for testing and assessing learners’ ability is built based on Matlab software for a case study in general education, allowing for providing immediate and specific feedback on the students’ competencies. The results of this study can not only improve the quality of the teaching process and create an interactive teaching environment, but also provide important information for improving the teaching and learning process in general education. Keywords: Computer-based system; learners’ ability; Ministry of Education and Training; Matlab software; general education.
