Abstract

There is no doubt that the database is a core and irreplaceable component in a software application, regardless of the database’s type or format. Taking Microsoft as an example, you clearly see that SQL Server services its products, such as System Center, CRM, SharePoint, and so many more. So, whether you are a developer or an IT pro, you will find yourself dealing with SQL Server, which makes it a platform rather than just software.
