Monumentos ibéricos en el paisaje. Movilidad, agua y configuración territorial en el sureste de la Meseta sur

Abstract

En este trabajo estudiamos la relación entre oppida, lugares rituales, movilidad, visibilidad y recursos hídricos en un territorio del sureste de la Meseta sur. El análisis SIG y estadístico muestra una relación clara del poblamiento ibérico respecto a determinados recursos hídricos y una vinculación desigual con las vías pecuarias y las áreas más transitables. Junto a una relación entre oppida y manantiales, nuestro análisis señala que los lugares funerarios y rituales se ubicaron prioritariamente en zonas bajas respecto a sus entornos y próximos a fuentes de agua de origen endorreico, en entornos lagunares o de humedal. Estos resultados permiten subrayar el papel del agua en la configuración espacial del poblamiento ibero de este territorio, al tiempo que señalan la necesaria integración de una serie de elementos naturales y culturales a la hora de analizar la movilidad y la organización territorial. Además, la larga diacronía de algunos espacios funerarios permite plantear su propia entidad como lugares religiosos y su posible papel territorial, perdurando en configuraciones territoriales sucesivas.
