The article presents the analysis of the main problems of the development of church-state relations in the context of the history of Switzerland. The pre-Reformation period, the Reformation period, the period of the XIX century, were the stages of development of church-state relations for the country. The religious schism of the XVI century. (Catholics - reformers), and the ideological confrontation of the XIX century (conservative liberals) almost led to schism of Switzerland, but the settlement of church-state relations has become one of the mechanisms for preserving the integrity of the country. Despite the fact that the domestic historical science has only few works on Swiss history, an attempt at a holistic comprehension of this problem is being made for the first time. The relevance of the topic is conditioned both by the preservation (and even strengthening) of the role of religion in modern society, and by the fact that the historical experience of Switzerland shows the possibility of preserving political unity under the conditions of the multi-confessional society.

В статье анализируются основные проблемы развития церковно-государственных отношений в контексте истории Швейцарии. Дореформационный период, эпоха Реформации, период XIX века стали для страны этапами развития церковно-государственных отношений. Религиозный раскол XVI в. (католики - реформаторы), идеологическое противостояние XIX в. (либералы - консерваторы) не раз ставили Швейцарию на грань раскола, однако урегулирование церковно-государственных отношений стало одним из механизмов сохранения целостности страны. Несмотря на то, что в отечественной исторической науке есть не мало работ по швейцарской истории, попытка целостного осмысления данной проблемы предпринимается впервые. Актуальность темы обусловлена как сохранением (и даже усилением) роли религии в современном обществе, так и тем, что исторический опыт Швейцарии показывает возможность сохранения политического единства в условиях поликонфессиональности общества.
