Abstract

The article analyzes the experience of logistics support of the authorities and units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine during the performance of special (combat) tasks. It is established that in the organization of logistics support, great importance is attached to the methods of work of the heads of logistics units and combat units to solve problematic issues related to logistics support in the conditions of combat operations in all processes, starting with the preparation of units for future actions. Measures to train logistics units are usually carried out simultaneously with the training of combat units to perform special (combat) tasks. The scope, timing and procedure of each logistics unit training event depend on the availability of time for training, the content of special (combat) tasks, the state of supply of material resources to combat units, terrain and other conditions. The author develops recommendations on the organization of logistics support for the authorities and units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the course of performing special (combat) tasks in four stages. The first stage is preparatory, which involves the work of reconnaissance groups. The second stage is the initial stage, which involves the movement of personnel to the area of future operations and their dispersal (cantonment) in settlements. The third stage is the stage of coordination of actions and interaction between border units. The essence of this stage is to coordinate the actions of forces and means of logistics units and combat units to organize the supply of material resources for special (combat) tasks. The fourth stage is the main stage, which involves the organization of transportation of material resources, their accumulation in accordance with the established volumes and the necessary needs in the places of combat units dislocation. It is noted that the success of the implementation of the developed recommendations largely depends on the influence of environmental factors, so a list of factors that negatively affect the organization of logistics of combat units is provided.
