The Dempster-Shafer theory can be extended for fuzzy focal elements. When knowledge from different sources is combined, membership functions of the elements should be also joined. The paper suggests a combination of knowledge by means of the conjunction of data-driven membership functions. A discussion on an influence of the combination on the basic probability assignment is provided. The method can be helpful for medical knowledge transfer.
