Innovando en regeneración urbana sostenible: el papel de los nudges

Abstract

El artículo estudia el uso de nudges (acicates conductuales) en la regeneración urbana sostenible. Se analiza cómo estos nudges, implementados por entidades públicas, facilitan la alineación de las decisiones individuales de los ciudadanos y del sector privado con las políticas públicas de urbanismo sostenible, sin recurrir a mandatos directos. Se propone una tipología de los nudges a emplear en este ámbito y se analizan diversas propuestas y experiencias de caso publicadas sobre su utilización en actuaciones de regeneración urbana. Se demuestra que los nudges contribuyen significativamente al urbanismo sostenible al promover comportamientos individuales en línea con las políticas públicas, un enfoque que representa una alternativa innovadora respecto a las intervenciones regulativas más intrusivas, promoviendo una regeneración urbana eficiente y respetuosa con la autonomía individual.
