
A sparse array synthesis approach based on look ahead orthogonal matching pursuit (LAOMP) with inter-element spacing constraints is proposed. This method can design non-uniformly spaced array with reduced number of active sensors and more accurate matching performance, an inter-element spacing constraint is enforced to ensure physically realizable solution. The numerical experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed method with comparison to standard OMP.
