Abstract

Диабетическая нейропатия - описательный термин, означающий доказуемую патологию нервной системы, очевидную клинически или субклинически, которая наблюдается при сахарном диабете (СД) в отсутствие других причин ее развития. ДН является наиболее частым осложнением СД. После внедрения электрофизиологических методов исследования частота ДН составила 70-90%, причем к моменту установления диагноза у 1 /4 больных СД типа 2 уже выявляются клинические проявления ДН, что объясняется длительной доклинической фазой. Медицинскую и социально-экономическую значимость проблемы диабетической нейропатии трудно переоценить, учитывая распространенность заболевания, частоту инвалидизирующих поражений нервной системы, снижение качества жизни и социальной активности больных, а также колоссальные материальные затраты на их лечение и социальное обеспечение. Своевременная диагностика и рациональная терапия различных форм ДН ? важнейшее условие снижения количества тяжелых осложнений, увеличения продолжительности активной жизни больных СД.
