The article analyzes the political preconditions for the establishment of the Ukrainian National Democratic Alliance (UNDO), shows the characteristics of its activities, in particular its forms and methods. It defines the main directions of UNDO practical policy and the state effect of this Alliance on the history of Ukraine at the stage of its existence. Also, the investigation reflects the role and place of UNDO in the social and political life of Western Ukraine, discloses a spectrum of influences and relationships of the Alliance with other political parties and organizations of the region.
