Determinação do Coeficiente de Desoxigenação (K1) de Efluente Doméstico Não Tratado

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo determinar o coeficiente de desoxigenação (K1) para o efluente doméstico não tratado originado da Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto (ETE-3) do município de Poços de Caldas (MG). Foram utilizados 2 mL de esgoto e realizadas medidas de oxigênio dissolvido ao longo de nove dias de ensaio. Para a determinação do K1 foi utilizado o método de dedução pela equação da DBO exercida. O resultado obtido foi de K1=0,5689 (dia-1), um valor elevado quando comparado aos valores descritos em literatura. Este valor provavelmente foi obtido devido às condições específicas do efluente, por se tratar de amostra concentrada há vários dias na ETE, refletindo em maiores valores de DBO durante o ensaio experimental. O método da dedução pela equação da DBO exercida se mostrou adequado para a determinação do K1. O trabalho pode subsidiar o uso de ferramentas e modelos de simulação de poluição hídrica, bem como o melhor entendimento dos impactos de efluentes domésticos sobre a qualidade da água de cursos d’água receptores.
