Identification and prediction of coding sequence in a DNA run is a challenging and interesting task in Bioinformatics. Signal Processing methods maintain a significant role in this context and other related problems. Up to now, several works have been performed on this area, and a surplus amount of computational techniques have been developed. Many review papers have summarized these techniques and many other associated works. However, most of them focus on the methodologies from a particular aspect. This paper aims to briefly summarize the coding sequence prediction methods and attempted to offer a brief technical suggestion for potential study. In addition, this review puts light on the upcoming trend and revolutionary methods that are supposed to be able to better research in future.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
