Integración del enfoque STEAM y la realidad aumentada en la enseñanza de la traslación de figuras geométricas

Abstract

El presente estudio investigó el impacto de la integración de realidad aumentada y STEAM en la enseñanza de la traslación de figuras geométricas. La conexión entre el aprendizaje de la traslación de figuras geométricas y STEAM facilita la transferencia de conocimientos a entornos del mundo real, lo que a su vez favorece el desarrollo de los estudiantes para explorar sus habilidades en situaciones prácticas. A través de una metodología cualitativa y un diseño de investigación-acción, se implementó una propuesta pedagógica con estudiantes de quinto grado en un colegio privado en Barranquilla, Atlántico. Se seleccionó un grupo de 10 participantes mediante un muestreo discrecional. Los resultados demostraron efectos positivos en la motivación, la reducción de errores conceptuales y el rendimiento académico. Sin embargo, se identificaron desafíos relacionados con la interdisciplinariedad y deficiencias en la formación matemática previa. En conclusión, el uso de objetos virtuales en 3D para representar y manipular figuras geométricas permitió reducir los errores conceptuales y mejorar el rendimiento académico en tareas de traslación. Además, la integración de disciplinas STEAM facilitó la contextualización de la enseñanza de la traslación de figuras en el plano cartesiano.
