Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é, a partir da leitura oferecida por Donna Haraway, apresentar e discutir algumas de suas propostas sobre a Biopolítica. A bióloga e filósofa norte-americana vai falar de uma Biopolítica artefatual e apontar que várias noções médicas, tais como “contágio”, e todo um léxico da imunologia é marcado por um discurso colonizante em que um estrangeiro/estranha quer invadir, ocupar e destruir um território até então limpo e puro. Esse corpo invadido torna-se monstruoso. A autora parte, então, para um diálogo com a ficção científica produzida por autoras negras norte-americanas para oferecer uma reflexão sobre a monstruosidade. Embora não pretenda esgotar o tema, o artigo pretende mostrar aproximações e distanciamentos com as noções de Biopolítica formuladas por Michel Foucault.
