
This brief scientific and biographical essay is timed for the anniversary of Nadezhda Dubova, a renowned Russian anthropologist and archaeologist, Doctor of Historical and Candidate of Biological Sciences, Chief Researcher and Head of the Center for Human Ecology of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology RAS, and Head of the Russian-Turkmen Margiana archaeological expedition. The essay is focused on the works and activities of Dr. Dubova for about five years after her previous anniversary. It presents her most significant findings in the domain of Central Asian archaeology (particularly at the pivotal BMAC site of Gonur Depe), biological and sociocultural anthropology, and ethnic ecology, and separately highlights her contributions to science, organization and editing. The article is accompanied by the list of the main scientific publications of Dr. Dubova since 2019. Some personal qualities of the celebrant are considered, which allowed her to achieve significant results in various fields of anthropology.
