Сomparative alternate history meta-genre analysis: components and their connections in the literary studies system

Abstract

The purpose of presented article is to determine the theoretical issues of alternative history meta-genre literary studies applied aspects, what has been performed by means of comparative analysis. It is also important to find out the components and connections of research in the specified genre formation system, systems of different national literatures. The novelty of the article is realized in the option of first results publishing of the systematic comparison of alternative history meta-genre phenogenre phenomena on the different national literatures material. Research methods: comparative (to compare the implementation of system components, intersystems and local phenomena), descririptive (to introduce components and their relationships in the sysem of literary studies, substantiation of the feasibility of a compararative approach to study the originality of the alternative history meta-genre). Conclusions. Components of literary analysis such as: systemic phenomena (belonging to entire communities that may include multiple national literatures), intrasystem phenomena (including archetypes, mythologists, and figurative structures impicated in the picture of the world of individuals of communities), local phenomena, and actualizing elements and actualizations worworks by individual authors). Links in the system of literary studies are implemented as genre matrices, architectonic constructions and plot scemes. Their analysis consists in approving and describing the classification of subgenres operating in the middle of the metagenre of artistic alternative history
