A description is given of a data translation tool developed explicitly for engineering data. It is based on the ROSE 1.0 object-oriented engineering database system. The ROSE data model is flexible enough to handle a wide variety of engineering data structures, and the ROSE extended relational algebra provides the primitive operations needed to edit these data structures to translate engineering data from one form to another. The motivation, design, and implementation of this data translation tool are described, along with lessons learned in its development. >
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 4 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
