
The article presents historical and legal analysis of the genesis of the concept of democracy in ancient political and legal thought, allowing the author to draw a conclusion about the inherent content of the concept of democracy "genetic duality", that is, the existence of two relatively independent of the contexts in understanding the essence of the concept of democracy - political and legal.
В статье проводится историко-правовой анализ генезиса концепта демократии в античной политико-правовой мысли, позволяющий автору сделать вывод о присущей содержанию концепта демократии «генетической двойственности», то есть о существовании двух относительно самостоятельных контекстов в понимании сущности концепта демократии - политического и юридического.
