Abstract

Seit Jahren lässt sich der Lehrkräftebedarf in den MINT-Fächern nicht mehr durch Lehrkräfte mit grundständiger Lehramtsausbildung decken. Um die Lücke zu schließen, werden über alternative Zugangswege Personen ohne vollständige Qualifikation für den Lehrberuf, sogenannte Quer- und Seiteneinsteigende, eingesetzt. Bislang fehlen Erkenntnisse darüber, wie diese die eigenen professionellen Kompetenzen einschätzen, wie zufrieden sie im neuen Beruf sind und inwiefern die Inklusion von Lehrkräften verschiedener Zugangswege in die Fachkollegien gelingt. Das Ziel der Untersuchung besteht in der Bestandsaufnahme der Arbeitssituation von MINT-Lehrkräften verschiedener Zugangswege und der darauf basierenden Erarbeitung bildungspolitischer Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Berufsattraktivität. Zu diesem Zweck wurde eine standardisierte Online-Befragung mit N=1.169 Lehrkräften aller MINT-Fächer sowie eine Interviewstudie mit N=14 Physiklehrkräften durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass regulär ausgebildete Lehrkräfte, Quer- und Seiteneinsteigende die eigenen Kompetenzen sowie die eigene Arbeitszufriedenheit ähnlich einschätzen. Die Tätigkeit als Lehrperson wird positiv wahrgenommen, die Arbeitsbedingungen dagegen kritisch bewertet. Die Lehrkräfte wünschen sich u.a. Entlastung von außerunterrichtlichen Aufgaben und mehr Zeit für die Kerntätigkeiten des Berufs (z.B. Unterrichtsentwicklung und Schüler*innenarbeit).
