Cardiovascular disease in oncological patients

Cardiovascular disease in oncological patients

Abstract

The development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) is one of the most common side effects in the treatment of patients with oncology due to the cardiotoxicity of antitumor treatment for cardiac function and structure, or as a result of accelerated development of CVD with already available cardiovascular risk factors. The article examines in detail the various stages of monitoring the cardiovascular system and making decisions before the appointment of anticancer treatment, during and after the end of the latter, based on the recommendations of the ESC on the treatment of oncological diseases and cardiovascular toxicity in 2016.
