
The article discusses the development of the applied educational module «Publication of a training newspaper» for students studying at journalism faculties. On the example of the history of the university press development, the patterns of functioning and formation of a separate direction of the educational process are shown: organization of educational media production, main factors influencing the development of educational media, and their transition to modern formats. The article highlights the main stages of educational media development.
