Les freins à l’accès aux soins de santé mentale constatés par le Défenseur des droits

Abstract

Le Défenseur des droits est une autorité administrative indépendante qui veille au respect des droits et des libertés. Ses missions incluent le traitement des réclamations individuelles et la promotion des droits de manière systémique, notamment en matière de santé. En 2023, l'institution a enregistré près de 100 000 réclamations, principalement concernant les services publics. Le Défenseur des droits intervient également pour garantir l'application effective de la législation et traite des questions liées à la santé mentale, notamment pour les populations vulnérables. L'institution souligne les défis auquel fait face le système de santé et en particulier le secteur psychiatrique, qui impactent l'accès aux soins. Elle oeuvre pour favoriser l'égal accès aux soins, notamment des personnes vulnérables comme les enfants ou les personnes en situation de vulnérabilité économique.

The Defender of Rights is an independent administrative authority that ensures the respect of rights and freedoms. Its missions include handling individual complaints and promoting rights systematically, particularly in the field of health. In 2023, the institution recorded nearly 100,000 complaints, mainly concerning public services. The Defender of Rights also intervenes to guarantee the effective application of legislation and addresses issues related to mental health, especially for vulnerable populations. The institution highlights the challenges faced by the healthcare system, particularly the psychiatric sector, which affect access to care. It works to promote equal access to healthcare, especially for vulnerable individuals such as children or those in economically vulnerable situations.
