Actividad antibacteriana de nanopartículas de plata biosintetizadas a partir de extractos de tres especies de Agave para inhibir Bacillus licheniformis

Abstract

Bacillus licheniformis provoca pérdidas de plantas en el cultivo in vitro. El uso de nanopartículas de plata (AgNPs) biosintetizadas a partir de extractos de plantas es una alternativa para controlar la contaminación causada por este microorganismo. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar AgNPs biosintetizadas a partir de tres genotipos de Agave y evaluar su actividad antibacteriana. Las AgNP se caracterizaron mediante análisis espectroscópico UV-Vis, microscopía electrónica de transmisión y espectroscopia de rayos X de energía dispersiva. Las AgNP biosintetizadas a partir de A. tequilana y A. cupreata con un tamaño más pequeño mostraron una mejor eficacia antibacteriana contra B. licheniformis que las AgNP con un tamaño mayor, biosintetizadas a partir de A. salmiana. Nuestros resultados proporcionan un método ecológico, simple y de bajo costo para la biosíntesis de AgNP con actividad antibacteriana.
