Trastornos musculoesqueléticos asociados al teletrabajo en abogados peruanos: un estudio transversal

Abstract

Los trastornos musculo esqueléticos son un factor que contribuye al desarrollo de lumbalgia, produciendo ciertas limitaciones en la vida cotidiana. El teletrabajo ha conllevado a la aparición de lesiones musculo esqueléticas como el síndrome del túnel carpiano, la enfermedad de De Quervain y la lumbociática. El objetivo del presente estudio es evaluar los trastornos musculo esqueléticos en abogados peruanos que realizan teletrabajo. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal, utilizando el Cuestionario Nórdico de Kuorinka. La población estuvo constituida por 156 abogados, seleccionados mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se aplicó estadística descriptiva, utilizando frecuencia y porcentaje. De los 156 abogados peruanos estudiados, se obtuvo que el 46.2% pertenecía al grupo etario de 30 a 39 años; el 62.2% eran mujeres; el 80.8% residía en la capital, Lima; el 81.4% contaba con licenciatura; el 54.5% realizaba teletrabajo durante un intervalo de 7 a 8 horas al día; y el 62.2% trabajaba de 5 a 7 días a la semana. Los abogados presentaron molestias de una duración menor a 1 hora en el cuello (57.1%) y en los hombros (51.3%). Además, la duración de las molestias fue del 40.4% en el cuello, 60.3% en los hombros, 51.3% en el codo o antebrazo y 59% en la muñeca o mano. Por lo tanto, se concluye que el teletrabajo, aunque novedoso, requiere de capacitaciones para prevenir trastornos musculo esqueléticos.
