Im Spiegel der Literatur : Deutsche und französische Repräsentationen deutscher Besatzungssoldaten während des Ersten Weltkrieges

Abstract

Les soldats allemands qui ont occupé dix départements dans le nord de la France pendant la Première Guerre mondiale étaient décrits de différentes manières : des soldats courageux, des boches, des ‚Etappenschweine’, des Prussiens belliqueux, ou des barbares. Mais comment l'occupant reste-t-il ancré dans la mémoire franco-allemande ? Quel rôle joue la littérature dans la construction de son image et la diffusion des stéréotypes qui y sont liés ? A partir d'une analyse comparative des romans Schlump de Hans Herbert Grimm et Invasion 14 de Maxence van der Meersch, il s'agit de mettre les représentations du soldat allemand d'occupation dans un dialogue, afin d'examiner comment les deux œuvres construisent et interprètent l'image du soldat dans le contexte socioculturel de l'occupation.
