Abordaje del conocimiento docente sobre la respuesta educativa dirigida al alumnado con superdotación en Portugal

Abstract

Este artículo aborda el conocimiento de los docentes en Portugal sobre la respuesta educativa dirigida a los estudiantes superdotados. Se destaca la importancia de una educación inclusiva y personalizada, incidiendo en la necesidad de desarrollar estrategias pedagógicas adaptadas e invertir en el desarrollo profesional de los educadores para responder eficazmente a las especificidades de estos estudiantes. La investigación enfatiza la relevancia de la legislación, incluido el Decreto-Ley N° 54/2018, y la capacitación docente continua como elementos cruciales para promover una educación inclusiva de calidad. El estudio también destaca los desafíos para identificar y apoyar a los estudiantes superdotados, considerando la diversidad e individualidad de cada estudiante. Utilizando una metodología cuantitativa, la investigación analiza datos de 863 profesores portugueses, revelando la necesidad de una mayor formación y sensibilización sobre el tema de la superdotación. Así, se concluye la necesidad de incrementar los esfuerzos desde el sistema educativo portugués para ofrecer una educación inclusiva de calidad para estos estudiantes superdotados.
