The article presents a technique for placing thermal imagers in milking parlors to obtain the highest quality infrared images of cow udders. The main factors influencing the placement of thermal imagers in the milking parlors were determined. The layout of the thermal imagers at the entrance to the milking parlor is presented. A 3D model of the thermal imager relative to biological object - the udder of a milking cow is proposed. An experimental study was carried out at an operating enterprise, according to the proposed technique. Based on the presented technique and the conducted studies, the most rational parameters of the thermal imager necessary to obtain infrared images of cow udder of the highest quality were determined.
