Abstract

RESUMO Este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o aproveitamento do tanino da casca de Eucalyptus pellita como substituto parcial da resina sintética uréia-formaldeído na produção de chapas de madeira aglomerada. As chapas foram fabricadas com a resina UFsintética e resina modificada com 10 e 20% de tanino. A adição de extrato tânico na resina sintética mostrou-se adequada para fabricação de chapas de madeira aglomerada, uma vez que os resultados obtidos para as propriedades físico-mecânicas estão de acordo com a norma CS 236-66.
