Elementos del concepto racionalidad ambiental

Abstract

El presente artículo no tiene la intención de ser un tratado sobre racionalidad, o de la razón, en él se toman elementos de la reflexión de pensadores de distintas disciplinas e indisciplinas, sobre todo de ambientalistas para construir un concepto de racionalidad ambiental, como motivador y direccionador de la acción. El tema se justifica por dos razones: 1) la racionalidad económica se ha convertido en el único parámetro para la toma de decisiones y no permite que otro tipo de racional tenga cabida y, 2) hoy se puede llegar a un relativismo que impida la investigación y toma de decisiones y generación de acciones necesarias para enfrentar la llamada crisis ambiental. El documento presenta algunos elementos que, desde el pensamiento ambiental de Augusto Ángel Maya, contribuyen a la construcción de una racionalidad ambiental. En la parte final se hace una invitación a construir desde el pensamiento una racionalidad ambiental que genere conocimiento y acción.
