Abstract

L'étude du cycle sexuel chez la N'Dama a été entreprise sur un petit troupeau de reproductrices élevées au CRZ de Sotuba. Il a été constaté une durée de l'inter-oestrus d'environ 20 à 21 jours chez les génisses et les vaches ainsi qu'une durée moyenne de l'oestrus de 9,38 ± 1,51 heures. Les chaleurs sont dans plus de 60 p. 100 des cas d'intensité faible. Toutefois une nette amélioration de la situation des chaleurs est constatée en saison des pluies.
