Cuevas y megalitos : los contextos sepulcrales colectivos en la prehistoria reciente cantábrica

Abstract

En la Prehistoria reciente de la región cantabrica, los yacimientos de carácter colectivo son fundamentalmente de dos tipos : cuevas naturales y sepulcros megalíticos. La convivencia de ambos a lo largo del Calcolitico y parte de la Edad del Bronce plantea un problema arqueológico aún sin resolver. En este artículo se exponen las características de estos diferentes contextos, y se avanzan algunas posibles vías de explicación a su coexistencia a partir de su hipotética relación con áreas de explotación y uso del territorio también diferentes, aunque dentro de una misma realidad socioeconómica y cultural.
