Abstract

RESUMO O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de avaliar a variação da umidade da madeira no processo de fabricação de painéis aglomerados. A monitorização de umidade foi realizada desde sua chegada no pátio da indústria, até a entrada das partículas nos secadores rotativos. Verificou-se uma significativa variação de umidade nas fases do processo, inclusive, na mistura de partículas que alimentam os secadores rotativos. Concluiu-se que o nível de alteração de umidade verificado é particularmente elevado em alguns pontos, podendo influenciar na qualidade das chapas produzidas.
