Epidemiología de las enteroparasitosis y micosis superficiales en comunidades y Hospital Infantil de Córdoba

Abstract

Objetivos: Obtener datos epidemiológicos y comparar resultados obtenidos de enteroparasitosis y micosis superficiales en niños de ambos sexos entre 0 a 15 años de edad, en dos comunas suburbanas ubicadas al suroeste de la provincia de Córdoba (zona SO) y en niños atendidos en el Hospital Infantil Municipal en la zona norte de la ciudad de Córdoba (zona N). Métodos: Se analizan 790 muestras de material fecal y escobillado anal y 106 muestras de piel y faneras provenientes de niños residentes en dichas zonas. Se utilizan técnicas de análisis parasitológicos de Ritchie, Willis y de metodología clásica para análisis micológico. Resultados: De los parasitológicos procesados se obtuvo mayor frecuencia de Enterobius vermicularis, seguido de Blastocystis hominis y luego de Giardia lamblia. De las muestras micológicas se obtuvo un predominio de Microsporum canis seguido de Candida albicans en la zona N. Conclusiones: La carencia de cloacas, agua corriente y el hacinamiento familiar, así como también la inadecuada higiene personal y comunitaria justifican la mayor frecuencia de estas enteroparasitosis. Los datos epidemiológicos hallados no permiten establecer asociación estadística entre la presencia de micosis y el estado socioeconómico de las poblaciones estudiadas.
